Comparing your smartphone assistant with your earbuds adds a level of extra convenience you never knew you needed. But which earbuds have assistant support and which options are best?
We’ve gone through the now surprisingly large collection of earbuds with assistant support to offer you the best choices in this article. Like all tech we feature in our blog, you can save up to 12% on these earbuds when you purchase through Techscheme. More on that and how much you will be able to save at the end.

Apple AirPods 2nd Generation - £159

Apple AirPods 2nd Generation

Apple jump started the wireless earbuds game, so it should come as no surprise that they are at the top of this list. Primarily for those within the Apple ecosystem, the AirPods have Siri support built in. They are also packed with features that most other buds do not have, such as easy one tap pairing and always-on Siri access with a simple “Hey Siri”.
You may shy away from the design if you're more familiar with typical in-ear headphone designs, but the AirPods are marvels of modern day audio engineering. They offer high quality sounds to compete amongst the best in this niche.
Unique sensors also automatically pause your music or other media whenever you take your AirPods out and start playing content when they detect they are in your ears. A sensor can also detect when you are speaking so that it can filter out external noise to improve your voice quality and diminish background noise. The £159 version is the standard option. With that, you’ll have 5 hours of battery life. However, you can also purchase the £199 version that includes a wireless charging case. With this, you can store battery in the case and charge your AirPods on the go. We’ll include both in our pricing table below so that you can see how much you can save on AirPods through Techscheme.

Sony WF-1000MX3 - £219

Sony WF-1000MX3

The Sony WF-1000MX3's may not have as much of a catchy name as the AirPods, but they are still excellent earbuds. They are a little pricier, but they have Google Assistant support and are compatible.
The main selling point for these earbuds, though, is the sound quality. The noise cancelling is excellent and the sound profile is designed specifically for listening to music. That means some punchy bass, decent mids, and highs that aren’t too overbearing. They are well suited for everyday listening.
Google Assistant support is top notch too. You can ask a variety of questions simply by stating “Hey Google” - turn up your music, change songs, or perform any other default Google Assistant task. You get a 6 hour battery life on the Sony WF-1000MX3’s, but the wireless charging case can get you three full charges too.

Beats Powerbeats Pro - £219

Beats Powerbeats Pro

With Beats now being part of team Apple, this is an exclusive iOS deal. But for those on iPhone, the Beats Powerbeats Pro are well worth the purchase price. The Powerbeats Pro are specifically designed for the more sporty type. They do have the same Siri support as the AirPods and that renowned bassy Beats audio quality for listening to music. Despite all that, the Powerbeats Pro primarily stand out for runners and athletes due to their sporty design.
Auto sleep and wake features also kick into play as soon as you take off or put in your earphones, so you don't have to worry about manually switching the earphones off to save battery.
You also have the same one tap setup and seamless switching between all of your iOS devices. Full volume controls are available on each earbud too, just in case you don't want to use Siri. Finally, the Powerbeats Pro have a mighty 9 hours playback time and with the wireless charging case, you can take an extra 24 hours of juice with you on the go.

That brings us to the end of our list of the best earbuds with assistant support. We have two options for Apple, and one great option that works well for Android. All three choices are similarly priced, although a cheaper option is available for those that want the AirPods without the charging case. Take a look below at how much you could save on these earbuds when buying through Techscheme.
