High End 1: SONY BRAVIA KD55A1 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV
Sony TVBravia is one of the most trusted brands in TV for a reason, exceptional build quality. This model, in particular, provides incredible picture quality. Over 8 Million OLED pixels work independently of each other to create absolute blacks, exceptional contrast and vivid, lifelike colours.

Beyond that, the stylish, slim, one-slate design is home to a super usable Android TV platform that makes it easy to find 4K content on a variety of streaming and catch-up services. The Bravia also has Acoustic Surface technology – this means that the sound comes straight from the screen as it gently vibrates to turn your experience into a full sensory undertaking.

High End 2: LG OLED55C7V 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV
LG TV
Next at the top of the range is the OLED C7. It’s probably the best all-around Smart TV on the market today. The user interface, powered by webOS is a dream, easy to use and incredibly fast. The Magic Remote lets you use voice commands to control your TV and open up apps on-screen, it has access to all your favourite streaming and catch-up services while letting you configure your home screen to your own preferences.

The picture quality is obviously brilliant, with 4K resolution and Multi HDR while the Dolby Atmos sound creates a realistic, cinema-style experience.

Mid-Range: SAMSUNG UE49M5500 49" Smart LED TV
Samsung TVComing down in price is obviously going to lose you some of those bells and whistles but this Samsung’s Full HD quality is impressive even without 4K UHD. Wide Colour Enhancer and Ultra Clean View technology enhances your pictures and ensures vibrant and bright colours.

The One Remote Control seeks to de-clutter your coffee table by allowing you to control multiple devices, Smart View allows you to control the TV from a phone or Tablet and Smart Hub makes for a clean an ultra-usable interface.

Budget: JVC LT-32C670 32" Smart LED TV
JVC TVOf course, it’s not going to measure up to the other TV’s on this list, but if you’re looking for a solid Smart TV on a budget you go far wrong than with this JVC. The picture comes in 720p which isn’t Full HD, obviously, but the colours are still good and the picture is clear. DTS TruSurround and DTS HD audio pump out the best audio you’ll get at this price.

The TV comes with Freeview Play, Freeview HD Tuner and built-in Wi-Fi so you’ll be able to find all the things you want to watch; it may be a little fussier than more expensive TV’s but in its price bracket it’s one of the most impressive TVs around.

Summary
There’s nothing quite as exciting as getting a new TV. Whatever the price, a television becomes an instant centrepiece in most homes, and with Smart TV’s they’re becoming something more – an entertainment hub. Techscheme saves you up to 12% on the cost of your tech and lets you spread the cost. If your employer isn’t signed up to the scheme yet, you can’t take advantage, so why not mention us to them?
